Using this website

Ecommerce Brands publishes guides and information for ecommerce founders, buyers and investors. Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes technical requests needed to deliver the website, including connection information. Fonts and website images are served from our own site.

The founder and buyer brief builders are previews. The details you enter stay in your browser’s memory while the form is open. They are not sent to us, saved by the website or passed to Google Analytics.

Optional Google Analytics

If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 helps us understand visits, popular pages, scrolls and clicks on links that leave this website. Analytics uses browser and device information, referral information and cookie identifiers to produce reports about site usage.

We do not load the Google Analytics tag or send analytics events until you accept. Rejecting analytics leaves it off. We do not enable Google signals or personalised advertising, and do not track interactions with enquiry forms. Page and referral URLs sent by our tag exclude query strings and fragments.

Google processes analytics data as a service provider and may process it outside the UK. Its privacy policy explains how Google handles information. Analytics does not give us the name or email address of a visitor.

Cookies and browser storage

We remember your analytics choice for up to 180 days using first-party browser storage. This preference contains only your choice and the time it was made. After that period, we ask again. If your browser blocks storage, the choice applies to the current page.

When accepted, Google Analytics may set _ga and _ga_VRKLXLKY7Q cookies to distinguish visits and maintain session information. We configure an expiry of 180 days; it can be renewed by later visits with consent. These cookies are not set by our tag when analytics is rejected.

Change your choice

Select Cookie preferences in the footer of any page to accept or reject analytics. If you withdraw consent after accepting, the website removes its Google Analytics cookies and reloads with analytics off. You can also clear cookies and site storage using your browser controls.

Google Analytics reporting is based on visitors who accept analytics. It will not count every visitor to this site. Search Console reports are separate and describe the website’s visibility in Google Search.
